Not as good as i hoped
I currently have a high end ionizer at home i use. that one takes out the orders that are left behind from the previous renter that had cats. so i thought why try one for my truck. I drive 45 minutes to work. Plenty of time i thought to see if this device really works.
pros:
1: if left overnight the next day i can smell the ozone in the car. but it quickly evaporates when the door is open to get in.
2: it took about 1-1/2 hour of constant use while driving to start to notice a difference.
cons:
1: when it worked it showed only minor improvements. i stopped using it because i did not want to wear down the battery leaving it on all the time.
2: i could not tell if it was my imagination or the device working.
conclusion:
personally i wish i would have saved the money and used it on a small air purifier with a 12 / 110 volt converter.. i think it would have help a lot more. a bit unconventional but strapped in the passenger seat i know it would have don't a better job that this had done.
Good Product
It seems to do the trick. I am a smoker and it really does remove the smoke smell from the car.
OK...wait, what?
Hmmmm...hard to tell if this really does anything after almost a year. But then, I do not smoke or own pets. Same amount of dust accumulates on the dash...
Works great
We purchased the Gaiam Auto Ionizer as we had purchased a used car that, while clean inside, held a musty odor. After trying to eliminate the odor with cleaners and air fresheners to no avail, we purchased and installed the Auto Ionizer. The Auto Ionizer ran without a sound and within the first few days we noticed an improvement. Within about two weeks the Auto Ionizer eliminated any trace of lingering odor - not masking it, but eliminating it. We are very pleased with our purchase.
Does not work
I do not feel any difference, there is just a light which is on!!!!!!! that's is the only thing I can get from being on!!!throwing money away
